Phantom II - Best way to plug to computer ?
#1
Hello, I use the phantom ii 98 db with my PC exclusively, I wanted to know what is the best way to connect it to a PC?

At the moment I am using a Toslink cable with an SMSL PO100, in my audio settings of my PC I have set 24bits/96khz but from time to time I still have the sound distorted for a fraction of a second, so it is there a solution to this?

I was thinking of buying a Wiim Pro and connecting it optically to the PC, but will there really be a difference and a sound that works perfectly?

Thanks

As far as I know the Phantom doesn't support 24/96, the maximum resolution is 24/48. Try lowering the resolution and the distortion will probably disappear.

Oh right, I thought it did, because on the data sheet it says (Toslink optical digital input (Inputs up to 24bits/96kHz) but perhaps its not related, i don't know much about it, to be honest.

thanks for your help, I'll try lowering it to see if I don't have any more problems.
