I was also looking at perhaps fixing the issues I'm having with my AirPort Express (becuase it's super simple, which I like)... and try reclocking the output through something like the Wyred4Sound Remedy... https://wyred4sound.com/products/digital...-reclocker

Has anyone had any experience with this? I was also thinking if I get a Remedy, then if I go down the Sonos route, I can just re-clock the output from the Sonos like the Magna mod is essentially doing. One more box for sure, but more flexible perhaps.

The Sonos Magna Ultimo mod implies more than only a better clock. There are also improving the power
supply and other parts. Read here for more details:

Has anyone done a comparison of the Wyred4Sound Sonos modification against the Sonos Magna Ultimo?

I'm kind of torn between the two at the moment!

No, I do have to disappoint you. The shootout I mentioned before was limited to the Sonos Connect, the modifications of Magna Hifi, the two version they presented at that time, and the German modification of Gert Volk. There was also a Bluesound Node included in the shootout. The Sonos Connect with the Magna Hifi Ultimo mod was the clear winner. The Wyred4Sound Sonos modification wasn't really available in Holland, neither was the Cullen mod.

Here is the link to the Dutch forum with the shootout topic:

Just to clarify, I believe the Wyred4Sound and Cullen modifications are one and the same (Wyred4Sound is Rick Cullen's company).  I tend to use the two titles interchangeably, so sorry if that's been confusing.

Stuart, where are you in the UK?  If you like the idea, and we're not too far away from each other, we could perhaps get together and try a standard-vs-Magna-vs-W4S listening test -- I could bring along a stock Connect and a W4S modified one.  PM me if you're interested.
