ROON
Thanks for the heads up. Will Roon automatically update the software to 1.2 or its manual? asking this because hope it does not alter/spoil the "playlist". If is does then there is some procedure to back up the playlist (need to read it)

Guys the list is huge which are categorised "Major feature", "New Audio Functionality", "Performance Improvement", "Other New Functionality" and then there is huge list on "Issues closed" - Congratulations Roon!. I m truly happy and proud to be on Roon life time, No regrets. Looks like I need to take personal leave during 2nd half  Tongue

Understood Devialet is mostly hardware company with S/w engineers also working. But they should not shy away from embracing something like Roon than being too rigid of their s/w abilities or unable to equally invest in s/w part of the solutions. Hope they open their door to other companies and partner with Roon. In case they are following apple like business model, Apple never opened to use Intel Platform on their computer until about 7-8 years ago they decided to go with Intel and huge success all over again.

Jnan, you can specify on how Roon update itself under Settings -> About -> "Setting wheel". Playlists should not be affected.

I wonder how does RAAT really works now? Will Apple TV be RAAT compatible?

Tongue

Yay!!!!

I'd definitely recommend backing up your Roon database before updating to such a big release. For those that don't know - Roon (or RoonServer if you're using that) MUST BE CLOSED for the backup to be of any use….

Added quite a few 320k MP3 radio stations. Roon plays them wonderfully, and sounded really good.

Not unless Apple decide to adopt RAAT on the device. Which seems unlikely.
It will probably remain Airplay.

Yeah, that's a very good point. Despite the agonising wait, I might hold off as iPad is my main control point, although I do have other options. Let's see how long until I can hold out (probably tonight).

It's a shame Apple are soooooo sloooooowwwww at approving Apps. I think the previous Roons have been about two weeks a pop. The walled garden of iOS can be useful, but its also a PITA a lot of the time...

Can someone check if Devialet Exclusive Mode is working in 1.2?

Thanks

PC/Win definitely no issue. As for Mac, I doubt it has been fixed yet.
