Dialog and TOSLink Issue

Hi Kantblue,

Thanks for some more suggestions.

Yes the sound is the same irrespective of what I am watching (YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, Plex and Cable Set top box).
I tried changing to auto1 and auto2 but they just kill the sound completely, the only output that works is PCM. My cable box doesn’t have an optical link output so dont have another source to completely nail it to the TV. That said the cable is good because I can connect the TV to a home receiver I still have and the sound is fine which starts to pin the blame on the phantom.

The optical switchover is a bit annoying because it switches over when the TV is in standby when there should not be any signal. So when kids switch on TV they need to ask me to manual switch the sound over on my phone which is a pain.

Anyway I can probably live with that but cant live with crappy crackling sound Sad
