go with your ears and what sounds best to you. everyone will have their own opinion, but ultimately you are the one who has to live with your choices and knows what you like the best. as Stian has stated, you can turn off the wifi in your configurator. I have everthging turned off in mine that I am not using. I basically only have my speakers and ethernet activated. like you, I am going from my roon nucleus via ethernet to my Devialet. I have everything else turned off in the configurator.
