I have tried another DAC, with a particular sound into the Devialet and its characteristic colour comes through fine.
It was only out of interest since IME modern ADC/DAC pairings are transparent and in the Devialet all analogue inputs have to be digitised for the amp can work as designed.
I wanted to know if the characteristic sound of my old DAC would be audible via the Devialet ADC/DAC and to my ears it was.
I am going to try a NOS valve DAC in due course and see if it sounds the same through the ADC/DAC in the Devialet. I expect it will but will post on the forum if it doesn't.
