As you can see I have just to look at my headphone amp. Input and output sampling rate are the same.  So it is not higher than the signal from the source. It could be if I connect the amp to my PC. But that's another story.

I use an active splitter from delayCon. It costs about 50 €. 3D is no problem and DTS HD, Dolby TrueHD are supported. It is not nice but you can't see it behind the TV.

By higher, I meant higher than what PS3 optical would let you output.

If I play audio CD only, on the PS3, would I benefit from deleyCon?
