Hi Swissbear, I don't have any thoughts on SAM as I don't use it. 
My speakers are not SAM'med but I also don't see a need as I run an active JL Audio Fathom F112 subwoofer in my setup, DSP'ed by a DSpeaker Anti-Mode. The Devialet crossover is also used.
