Yeah, I love the Devialet remote too with it's big smooth running wheel. It lays, within an arms reach, besides my on the couch while listening to music and the iPad is on my chest or lap (depending how much I lay back 
) I've never used the app much and even can't no longer since I've disabled both WiFi and ethernet inside of the Devialet. I don't care if it wears or not (haven't noticed any wear so far) it's a 'consumer good' not a museum piece so it needs to be used!
