HD tracks

Well,

I managed to get it going and buying all the 'restricted' albums I wanted this time. 440 USD trusted in digital files.

Last comment makes me a bit worried however the previous files I was allowed to download has been superb.

It's a shame that HD Tracks' prices outside the US are so high. If they set their prices at a fair level then people wouldn't have to try to circumvent their security systems.

Qobuz undercut them on price on almost everything and I've heard no complaints about the quality of Qobuz's downloads whereas I've heard a lot of complaints about HD Tracks.

Just checked Qobus out! Wow so much, would have found everything there as well.

Glad it worked out for you Mike.

For me qobuz is now my first stop when shopping for hi res downloads (selection is big enough, quality is excellent, prices are competitive and sometimes they run offers like now buy 3 and get 1 free)

Now if I can't find what I'm looking for on qobuz, then I check HDTracks. Also I tried Naim Lable and Linn Records (by the way is running a promotion as well to download one free hi res song everyday until Christmas) both of them have excellent quality but relatively limited catalog.

Well it seem to be a problem with Qobuz as well as I am in Sweden however my newfound ip 'scrambler' works a treat there as well. Considering the vastly superior catalogue I will for sure first stop there too.
I use a program called TunnelBear which gives you the possibility to chose from which country you're stationed. Though the program have limited bandwidth but it is enough to pick and pay your titles and then switch off for faster download. For me who is a zero knowledge computer guy this is magic .

By the way, are there members here that download in WAV format? I started doing that but it takes such memo space I had to switch to FLAC, which by the way is much easier to handle.

Could you elaborate on the comments concerning quality of the HD tracks downloads. Is it sound quality in terms that they don't deliver the promised formats or is it the handling of the downloads, or...?
