Expert 140 Pro Analog Out w/o the Preamplifier Board

It has come to my attention that there is a way to configure the digital output (the dual mono link) on the 140 Pro to output an analog signal for use with subs, etc. I am unable to replicate this through the Configurator and I am told you do not use the Configurator to do so anyway. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
