LPCM - better result than let the Dione decoding?

If the Dione can use a SPACE listening mode to decode a DTS:X bitstream into surround sound without the height channels than the simplest solution for you is to set the X800M2 to output both DTS and Dolby soundtracks in bitstream format. The Dione will then give you 5.1 channel sound for the DTS soundtracks which is all you can get letting the X800M2 do the DTS decoding, and it will give you Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 from the Dolby soundtracks. There is no other way to get the .2 Atmos channels from the X800M2.

I guess you  did not get what Devialet is stating and even that is not correct by them.

It is NOT the Dione doing the DTS:X to PCM conversion. If it would be possible it would support DTS.
So my Sony or any other needs to that.
And what they are stating the Dione SHOULD do is making some "virtual" surround by "Space" listening mode.
But here they are wrong. Because this mode is only avalable if a stereo signal arrives at the Dione.

Feel free to check youself. If any DD or LPCM is shown you do not have the option to switch the listening mode.
So you would then have 2 option. Let the Bluray Player convert to LPCM and surround information are lost.
Or you set to Bitstream, then the Dione will handle it as 2channel and you could use "Space" listening mode to pimp it up.
But here the LPCM 7.1 would be the far better option.

Again - it is unbelievable the Dione does not support DTS.
