Ethernet streaming and occasional white noise on Windows

@Confused, what if you simply turn the monitor off, prior to playback? This way, you could still take advantage of screen saver at other times.
On the Internet, some people recommend turning off screen saver for optimal playback, but it never caused issues for me. My instances of white noise were never connected to it.
