(Sorry, I at least fought the urge to say anything further)
Ok, edited to say didn't realise that post was last year, but since kjj11s question has re-ignited the Roon thread - for those that don't follow the Roon forums there's a fairly big update coming 'soon'. No one knows when exactly, but Roon 1.2 is expected in the next weeks or month as its various bits are in alpha/beta testing from what I understand.
I'm sure there are a few surprises but it's anticipated that 1.2 will bring some key features including:
-Linux RoonServer
-RoonBridge (aka the DIY version of RAAT, formerly known as RoonSpeakers)
-Roon's audio path completely overhauled to use RAAT throughout.
-Basic Radio streaming (url) functionality
-anecdotally, over 100 bug fixes/new features/UI enhancements.
There's also an iPhone (and possibly other phone) remote coming, but it's unclear if it will be in 1.2
Advanced up/re-sampling, convolver (room correction), and AU/VST plugins all now sound fully on the roadmap, but unlikely in 1.2.
Anyone picked up any other useful key bits I've missed?
The latest Devialet-specific update was.... Nothing. As far as I'm aware they still haven't had enough cooperation from Devialet to allow them to get hardware or assistance, in order to fix any specific AiR/USB connection/exclusive mode type issues.
