„ Zappa '88: The Last U.S. Show “and is the first posthumous archive release from the live band from '88 and contains 29 unreleased recordings, including additional performances from the same tour: Zappa's wild renditions of“ Whipping Post ”by the Allman Brothers Band and“ Stairway To Heaven ”by Led Zepplin , as well as the legendary “Beatles Medley”. Despite private tensions, the 88 ‘Essemble was musically considered the best of all Zappa's band constellations, and Zappa's newly found favorite instrument, the synclavier, also contributed to this impression.
