I had 7.1.1 for a long time, then upgraded to 8.1.3 yesterday. I have to say, there's increased clarity, but I miss the full-bodied sound of the old firmware.
I missed out on 7.1.3, seems like there is lots of enthusiasm for it, but I can't seem to be able to find it on Devialet's website.
One thing I noted: when I upgraded to 8.1.3 it let me get away with using my old config file. But the sound was very treble-focused. I then made a new config on the site and downloaded it. The sound changed significantly, with the result being more balanced. Apparantly it's important to use the new config file with the new firmware and probably vice versa.
It's still a little brighter than I remember 7.1.1 to be.
