I don't think the 250 does run any cooler. it's hard to say of course, as the temperatures will vary depending on the music played, volume, speaker type / load, ambient temperatures, SAM and so on. I did talk to one of the Devialet engineers about this a while ago, and the way the power supply and ADH is set up on the 200 is limited a little below that for the 250. In other words the 250, with inherently different cooling characteristics, allows itself to be pushed harder. Or perhaps more accurately, there are some restrictions placed on the 200 vs the 250, as they share the same electronics, but the 200 lacks the case that was part of the original design for the D-premier / D240.
