I got sent to me the firmware this morning New Zealand Time (most likely midnight Paris time. Tried now and worked great. I tested it with both 96 and 192 and both worked fine. I will have to spend some serious time now digitalising my records!

I digitized 1 record yesterday, and its quite a job to do. After recording you have to export the tracks, that takes a while.
Yes, I think I have an idea. I started looking into audacity tools for cleaning the record and it seems it will take its time (and testing). But I have several first pressing album that would benefit to be digitalised and spared from too much use.
Not sure if of interest but I found this page that goes through the audacity workflow for LP recording.

Probably there are a lot of better software out there to clean the tracks, but for the time being Audacity will do.
Space permitting I will keep the raw recordings at 32 bit so in future I can try to process them through different softwares and do a comparison.
