I know this is not exactly the answer you are hoping for but what i do may help your circumstance.
My Devialet acceses my home network via ethernet rather than wifi. I prefer this as the wifi card is effectively disabled which i think is preferable. I have an old Apple Airport Express which connects to my home network and i run a short (1-2mtr) ethernet cable from the AP Express to the Devialet ethernet port. This allows me to control the Devialet via the iOS app over ethernet. You can place the AP Express wherever the wireless signal is the strongest, but i'm sure that won't be a problem anyhow.
