Devialet connection?

Per @Kunters post, I agree direct connection to an adjacent laptop has to be the optimum solution. (and is exactly what Devialet do at there various demonstrations)

As one alternative, you actually could connect direct to your router via ethernet cable. It would be a long cable run, but technically it should work fine. I recall happy days as a child helping my father run coax TV arial cables from the loft to various rooms in the house. How hard would it be to get an ethernet cable down to your basement? I have no idea, but I am sure it would ultimately be possible?
