Looks like DPREM owners have a bargain price to upgrade
EDIT - copied from my earlier post: I think it is STUPID move by Devialet to charge the same price for the upgrades of the 4 stereo amps as it doesn't reflect owner's original 'investments'. The upgrades of the dual mono amps do seem quite attractive in comparison
Given a typical dealer margin of around 45-50% on new units, it seems that Devialet will make about as much money on each upgrade as they would on a new sale. Not a bad business model, if they can get away with it.
As to whether it's worth it, I can't say, but I think I would probably prefer to move up to a higher model in the range if I was spending serious money. I do agree that the DP upgrade looks to be good value, after all.
