The biggest limitation as I saw it was always going to be the antenna location in the amp. This is a major inflexibility. I had to move my wireless access point in my listening room to get a good signal, which was a pain but no problems since. Anybody not prepared to do this would never get a working system.
Anyway, with all due respect, anybody thinking Devialet are doing nothing about it and that this petition will help is a poor judge of human nature IME.
You should read the petition again Frank! It not about anyone thinking Devialet are doing nothing about AIR, it is about Devialet's lack of communication on the subject.(grumpy face is aimed at Devialet, by the way) Plus, you are making the mistake that many do when referring to AIR issues and thinking it is all down to wifi signal strength, I have many issues over the years with AIR, all with hard wired Ethernet, wifi disconnected. To be fair, you are a Mac user, and I think historically the AIR issues have largely been Windows related. As an example, some current Windows AIR users who have recently reported issues to Devialet have been told simply that AIR 2.1.4 is not compatible with Windows 10. OK, fair enough, but Windows 10 has been out a year now, so when will a Windows 10 version of AIR be available? No answer from Devialet..... This is unacceptable!!!
Thank you for captioning my mood exactly. The Air issue is bad enough, but the the total disrespect of future buyers, the lies about air being the greatest thing since sliced bread, the chain of broken promises is much worse. It is not a Sonos of 200 euros we are talking about.
