I rip the music to my Qnap and then sync the music to the Melco, so effectively using the Melco as a backup device as well as a playback device. So probably different to how most people would use it but I may as well make use of storage on both Qnap and Melco.
Interesting info on the Melco. I just wondered whether you had tried to use any online lossless music services via the Melco and if so how? There was an earlier indication from Alan Ainslie that it was possible to stream TIDAL using an Android tablet and BubbleUPnP as the control point. I wonder if Qobuz would work in the same way?
