I think if you follow the instruction booklet exactly then it says use the Melco name as the username? It has its own number....I dont have the manual at hand sorry.
Also did you mean you can get the Kinsky app to work but not the Arcam? If so this could be because you need to change the mode. it is under the settings menu, under USB DAC then the controller option. Change this to 0. Hope this helps
Nice to read about your success getting things sorted with the Melco.
I did contact Alan Ainslie about the problems trying to transfer files from Mac to the Melco and he did say there seems to be a problem and you do seem to have to do as a Guest not as a Registered User but anyway got that sorted but he did say the Melco App is still a few months away all being well, I have just been informed that they will be adding Qobuz support in a few months as well which is a great addition.
