Yip room correction can't correct nulls. Nulls are where the sound waves are cancelling each other out. So if the room correction software increased the amplitude at the required frequency that will result in the larger wave from the speaker but then also an equally larger trough from interaction with the room - so the larger wave is cancelled by the larger trough - so back to the original position
experimenting with speaker positioning and the listening position could minimise the nulls.
