This afternoon the Paul Hynes SR7EHD-MR4 has been finally delivered by UPS. It's big and heavy! (10kg)
It's all hooked up now and working perfectly. Before I connected it to my equipment I checked the output voltages using a multimeter but these were all already perfectly set to the specified voltages by Paul. It's now powering the microRendu, DSPeaker Anti-Mode 2.0 and the fiber optic ethernet converter. At a later time, perhaps tomorrow, I will modify the Mutec so it too will be powered by it.
I had to sacrifice the one drawer of my 'lowboard' (Just Racks JRL 1650) in which all my equipment is 'put away' behind swinging doors and the one drawer, except for the Devialet which is on top of it. However this 'sacrifice' is no issue at all, I didn't really need the drawer and could use the space it occupied much better for an additional device. The HDPlex was behind the lowboard but the PH was too big to fit in that same space so I got my jig saw and bzzzzzt, bzzzzt, done, bottom of the drawer removed except for the parts to which the sliding rails and front are mounted!
The jig saw machine did make me a bit 'deaf' though, so I'll reserve any SQ remarks for a later time!
