My models are both ‘P’ ones so what you are suggesting makes sense.
It does seem a bit unfair not to have let purchasers know and what would happen if anyone ended up with one of each type for a stereo pair - how would the app deal with that and potential sync/timing issues if that cropped up.
However I would say that provided everything is working for you as it should then maybe it doesn’t matter - if you look at this forum there seems to be quite a bit of discussion about differing hardware changes over time with Devialet even before the current supply issues - which are only likely to get worse with the dreadful situation in Ukraine I think.
