CD player or CD transport
#1
I’m adding a CD player to my gold phantom, and would like to know if I can simply connect a cd transport to the optical input on the phantom and the phantoms internal DAC will work, or if I need to use a standard CD player / DAC combo to the phantom. Sorry for my newbie question. Thanks for any help.

Just connect the CD transport to an optical input and you'll be fine. No need for a DAC, the Phantom has no analogue input.
