AUX input
#1
Evening all,

Does anyone have any experience using an aux cable as an input? I can't seem to find an aux to toslink converter and was wondering if such a think is a possibility.

I ask because I would like friends to be able to play music via phones etc. without relying on my laptop (connected via toslink) or bluetooth.

Thanks

You can do it like what i do using a digital preamp.
Headphone to 2 phono cable from phone to preamp then a toslink from preamp to Phantom.
Ive tried it from my Fiio X5 and it works fine. Theres no other way really.
Synology DS215 NAS (2x WD RED 1Tb) > Virgin Superhub 3 > HP Pavilion X360 laptop > Phantom Reactor 600 > JRiver MC25 > JRemote > A&K AK70mkii DAP > Supra Cat8 Ethernet cable > Sony WH-1000XM4 > jar of cream v2

My oppo works in much the same way as touran; multiple inputs and headphone jack there, plus I have the benefit of being able to listen to native dsd via sacs' that are d to a'd directly by their own sabre dac...

I'm using an analog to digital converter, $20 from Amazon. Works like a charm.
