#1
Asking for a friend who is thinking of buy 2nd hand phantoms and was wondering can you check the serial no.s of phantoms like for apple products in case it's stolen or what not?

That may not help. I would imagine most of the scams are people buying them on the 45 day trial with stolen or cloned cards. They will have a genuine serial number. I would suggest the old adage if it sounds cheap then it is likely a scam. If your friend wants to save a few quid then I would suggest buying from a recognised forum from a known buyer/seller.

Regardless of any seller, it's always good to ask for:
-The seller to identify himself.
-Some proof of purchase, like a self written note with description, serial number and seller's (confirmed) ID in it.
-To ask the seller for his motivation on selling.
If these all work out well and you have no further reason for any doubt, you're probably fine.
Happy Phantom user since april 2015 (currently 2 Gold Phantom, Dialog, Branch/Tree) with Tidal hifi.
