Hello, because safari often makes problems, I have always retrieved the file via e-mail and received immediately. Always worked !!
As an example, I found only one old file!

OK thanks very much, I have always Firefox on Mac after having Safari problem.
Were you able to get the get firmware updates in the same way?

I have some spare SD cards so will create a few different scenarios and keep them config files n them, and I have all previous iniCloud so accessible via IPAD on to Verbatim device.

That’s good news! You can also get a lightning to SD Card adapter for £29. I wonder whether this would work. I’ve managed to download the zipped config files onto my iPad, and there are several unzip apps available, so it might do. I guess there’s only one way to find out.
Edit: I found a lightning to SD Card adapter amongst my gear, but there seems to be no way to load any files onto it.
It doesn’t matter which web browser I use, when I request config files to be sent by email, they never arrive.
