D400 remote app “connects” on iPad and iPhone but won’t actually adjust anything?

Hi
I’m having gremlin issues lately with Roon and a separate issue with the Dev remote app.

The remote app actually does connect and is visible on the iPhone iPad but doesn’t actually function at all.
Eg. The volume rises on the iPad app but doesn’t change the sound setting on dev.
I select the USB on the app but doesn’t swap to USB on the dev?

I’m guessing there’s a simple solution - anyone know what it is?

The hard expert remote works fine though.

I have almost the same problem with my android app. I can change source but not volume with the app when the source is usb. With phono the volume works.

Thanks frejo , at least you can change the source , mine is totally non functional but pretends to work. Did yours just stop working or did you change some settings? I’ve unplugged the dev, checked the wifi settings and deleted the app several times but still no luck...

I don't think that I have changed anything. I do see the correct volume in the app, it's only the dev that doesn't respond to any change in volume, in usb and Spotify. Works in phono

Same here!
Since a couple days I cannot change the volume on the Android App anymore, nor does the Volume level get updated when changed by remote.
Selceting the source and powering on and off still works.

I thought it was my fault.


So I went ahead and started to troubleshoot, but none resloved the issue:

- Completely powering off the Expert by switch and unplugging the power cable
- Deleted the cache and data in the App


Like in IT: "Didn't change anything - urgent!" Cool

Any ideas how to fix this are very much appreciated :-)


Update: inspired by @frejo "works in phono" I switched from my main source AES to USB and the volume can be changed there. Switching back to AES the volume can be changed again.
