Just my set up. After decades of playing with audio of all kinds and travelling the world to hear it, I settled on this 10 years ago and it's still the best system I've heard bar none. The only difference from the pic is that I had a SME 30/12a which I used to digitise all of my vinyl to DSD 128 files using the Tascam - which in on the rack in the pic.
The D400's are the perfect partners for the JBL K2's which, as Paul Messenger inferred, were possibly the finest loudspeaker for music full stop. I still think that even though the design is 25 years old now. They're 94db/w with a 400w power handling. I tend to listen at -40db and can still hear absolutely everything and enjoy my music collection. If I prefer realistic levels. They are there. Totally devoid of audible distortion. A new variant of the JBL is almost £50k but inexpensive compared with the competition...
