Good suggestion. I hadn't thought of that. I should try it to hear if it improves sound quality.
However, the switch has 8 ports so I am conveniently able to connect other equipment to it including an Aurender S10 and PS Audio P10. In addition I have a couple of other NASs connected to the Time Capsule for back up purposes. The present setup is convenient, but in the endless search for pure audio I'll try out your suggestion!
