You are welcome. Of course the really interesting point, to me anyway, is the statement at para 3: "Advanced Audio Transport is already on our roadmap, we are looking into how we can speed it up.  There are some other groundwork developments already underway, and we will have  better vision in the coming months. We heard you loud and clear and will, of course, keep you updated."

I use Audirvana on customized Mac Mini(with linear power supply, SSD drive, 8 GB memory etc..) connected to Synology NAS using CAT6 network cable(there is a special network switch to transfer video and audio files between devices). Mac Mini is connected to Devialet with a USB connection(wireworld starlight 7 usb cable).

Do I hear any significant improvement in Audio quality if I use Roon on Mac Mini instead of Audirvana? By the way, Metadata about songs , albums etc. and other software UX improvements are not important for me at all. The real audio quality, the sound you hear is more important.
Stereo Setup: Synology DS214Play NAS/Internet sources>> Supra CAT8 >> Ubiquiti Edge10X Switch>> Fiberoptical Cable >> SOTM SNH-10G Switch(S-Booster LPS) >> Supra CAT8 >> Euphony v4(Stylus with Qobuz, Tidal) running on RAM >> SOTM SNH-10G >> Supra CAT8 >> Mercury Streamer (GentooPlayer, MPD+UpMpdCli  running on RAM) + Fiio PL50 LPS >>  Mogami Gold AES XLR >> Devialet 220 Pro >> Echole Omnia Speaker/Jumper Cables >> B&W 804D3 Speakers on IsoAcoustics GAIA-II

Headphone Setup: Synology DS214Play NAS(CAT8) >> Ubiquiti Edge10X Switch>> Fiberoptical Cable >> SOTM SNH-10G Switch(S-Booster LPS) >> Supra CAT8 >> Euphony v4( Stylus with Qobuz, Tidal) running on RAM >> SOTM SNH-10G >> Supra CAT8 >>  Mercury Streamer(GentooPlayer , Mpd/UpMpdCli ) + Fiio PL50 LPS >>  RCA Coax >> Chord Hugo >> Fostex TH900 MK2

I have been using Roon over Air through Ethernet for a few months after using Audirvana over USB for a few years.

The sound is different, but it is not about Roon as much as it is about Air.

Air is softer, rounder, reboundier if I may say so but still splendidly defined, while Audirvana is sharper and I would say a bit harsher perhaps. Both are amazingly good through my Wilson Benesch Vectors, but I personally now think I prefer Air a bit and therefore Roon.

Needless to say, the UI of Roon and the navigation capability are second to none.

Cheers,
Bernard
