Devialet Phantom Classic Bluetooth issue
#1
Hello guys,

Thanks for reading this text.
I am new in the Devialet world as i just bought a Phantom Classic speaker yesterday.
I opened the box, smiled at the nice design of the Phantom and immediately stopped smiling when i took it in my arms. Smile)))) (the thing is heavy) I read the Quick Start guide and connected the Phantom to the power outlet.
After doing this i activated the speaker, got scared at the noises it makes  Smile and tried to connect my mobile phone via Bluetooth to it.
I turned the Bluetooth on my phone, found the speaker in the device list, paired with it and when i tried to play a song from YouTube the Phantom remained silent.

I went on and downloaded the Spark App on my computer as i like its options better than de Devialet app and DOS 2. Even with the Speaker connected to the Spark app i can't use Bluetooth connection. I tried it with 3 diffrent mobile phones, i tried reseting the speaker several times and still got the same answer.

Did anyone experience the same thing? Is there a solution to this problem? At this moment I am using the Phantom connected via WiFi and playing radio stations and Deezer content. I also connected my Windows PC to Spark, uploaded some music in the playlist but the App won't play it. This is a majot setback for me .

Welcome to the forum...

Is your Classic on DOS 1 = can only use Spark App or DOS 2 = can only use Devialet App? You do not have a choice on which App to use. If you like Spark and on DOS1, do not upgrade then. However, note that the Classic got a power boost with DOS2.

You will need to use the App to set up Bluetooth to play music.

  Hi,

Thank you for replying. My Phantom is on DOS 1 and i can still use the Spark app.
I tried using Spark to connect with my mobile phone and it still didn't work. The phone is pairing with the speaker, it appears in Spark as connected to the Phantom via Bluetooth but when i try to play something the speaker remains silent.

I am also trying to contact Devialet Customer Service but they answer so hard Sad(

Will do that, thanks. Did you also have trouble playing content from your PC harddrive on your phantom? Does DOS 2 still permits this?

Have only tested Bluetooth to play from phone, not PC. I use UPnP and Ethernet with DOS1 and DOS2.

Also, Spark works in DOS1 on a PC. There is no equivalent in DOS2.

I solved the issue regarding the connection of my laptop to Spark. My firewall was blocking the app, it works now.
How does this UPnP work?

Thank you for your help Smile)
