Devialet Phantom Gold + Phantom Opera

I have owned a single Devialet Gold Phantom for 3 years.

Since then I have been looking for a second gold at a good price.

There is currently a lightly used (and newer) Phantom Opera edition on the market.

Will I be able to pair this with my Gold and finally have proper stereo? 

My understanding is the Gold + Opera is the same thing inside - only the wings finish are different.

Absolutely, you will have no problem, and as @ragwo said, stereo is a huge step up compared to mono.

Suggest double checking with Devialet support and providing them the serial number of your existing Gold. Not expecting the Golds to have many internal changes in 3 years. But there were internal changes with Phantom Classics done a while ago which caused problems when the DOS2 upgrades were done.

Am surprised it has taken so long to get the second Gold. Please do set them on stands and position them as you would any stereo speakers. Done properly, a stereo pair of Golds will match many high end setups.
