Just checked my Phantom remote and they have 2 AAA batteries which are stamped as Devialet and are white in colour with silver ALKALINE written on them. Date shows 10/2017. I bought my Phantom about March 2016 and the batteries are still going strong. Maybe the other remotes are still drawing power from the batteries when they're not in use.

If I were you, I'd bin them. I know that the Phantom remote is not suffering the same problems as the 
Pro remote, but they might start leaking. It's better to be safe than sorry....
