Devialet removed the Expert Pro specs!
#1
It seems like we are right about Astra's performance that Devialet decided to remove the specs of Expert Pro's from their website:
https://www.devialet.com/en-gb/amplifier...-pro-dual/

I think this is a clear proof of what we were suspicious about the Astra, this is definitely thicker, chunkier and less capable version of Expert Pro for double price. In case if anyone needs the specs of Expert Pro 440 to compare with Astra Dual:

HAHAHA This company is an epic joke for me from now on! Don't worry if this forum is lost one day I have the full website of Expert line downloaded, we won't lose any of these things and I work with both local and cloud backups!

I see the german version, if I scroll down I see THD-N, THS, signal to noise and output impedance for stereo and dual mono versions. I think this is the interesting difference. As Expert owner you know the other differences.
I could accept differences in connectivity if SQ is better, but there I have some doubts if I compare the technical data of both amps. Why should an amp with higher THD or noise sound better ? But could still be the case.
Lets wait for some comparisons ,not the ones from the well known magazines, there Devialet buys some advertising and a good review. Which is something all companies do...

The main problem is the detailed tech data that I have shared in the first post way publicly available on the link I shared in the first post. They removed it just yesterday probably after all of out complians about the sound quality degradation. I have no doubt anymore about Astra is not an upgrade but my concern is how can we get this damn company back to support Expert line even if it comes with a payment.

Why they don’t come with these things:

1) Better upgrade strategies for non-Pros
2) Provide warranty extension for reasonable price similar to Apple Care as we almos all went out of warraty
3) Provide a new Core Infinity board with DOS3 for a reasonable price.
4) Bring up ADH NextGen to Expert if that’s really a sound upgrade (I am sure it is not) for a reasonable price.
5) Kill the lower end models and just leave 220 and 250 models there and if needed increase the price of them (All HiFi compaines increased their price based on inflation)
6) Keep shipping sample units to well trusted review companies to referesh their image, these amps are damn better than any other thing available, if they start focusing on Expert they would make more money than random product releases
7) Deploy the damn software to github and start accepting change requests and bug filing from community developers

If they were getting all the DOS updates to Expert they were already going to sell a lot more Experts this year, I have just purchased my second 220 14 days ago while I know that the support was dead.

The 440 Pro is still a great amp.
