Devialet stands

I compensated for a similar situation with my wall-mount by mounting my 200 between my roll-top desk & wall with 70% of the 200 above and 30% below the desktop thereby hiding the missing cover & exposed cabling.

well, I think it's your decision to use such a high end power cord. Devialet has obviosly not foreseen such tools as it might not introduce a significant sound improvement in an ADH system. Did you test the difference and if so, what are your expeiences?

You should be assured that power cord was my decision totally. Having been in this hobby over 50 years I don't put such decisions before committee, probably any more than you did with your Devialet purchase. Devialet will NEVER include a power cord that costs more than a 200 and I'm sure we can all understand why that might be. I didn't have to test the differences as I had wanted this cord for years, listened to it extensively at a friend's home and already had its matching speaker cables and interconnects which you can also see a few of in the same picture. Due to recent events and still being a little sore from them I won't go into specific glowing experiences other than to leave you with there are VERY specific reasons I own it... and if I didn't, I would buy it again tomorrow!

And please accept there was no fault/no foul committed by me in suggesting people that are considering the stand at least be aware there "might" be an issue related to looks if they currently own or are considering an HE/HC power cord. Some do work & fit... some do not. Several here have already faced the plug issue with their rear covers no longer fitting. It's not an isolated or remote incident. A completely innocuous disclosure that could affect some purchasers immediately or down the road and not up to speed or fully apprised of the IEC plug situation. I really don't care how people mount or display their systems but if I prevent even one from purchasing something they can't use or don't like it when they find they can no longer use their cover then I've contributed positively to what forums like this should be about.
Statements in my posts are opinion only, not to be construed as fact. Any projects I engage in are at my own risk! Their outcome cannot be assured and may result in success, small/no change or catastrophic failure. I encourage no one rely on anything I say or do as gospel and to realize your mileage may vary!

The revival of this years-gone thread reminded me that I never posted my follow up: I had a custom set of stands fabricated by a friend's shop. Made to accommodate floor standing, they are a wall-leaning version of the painter's easel idea (but will also stand without a wall).

Devialet 1000 Pro Core Infinity, Magico M3, Nordost Frey 2 speaker cable, PS Audio P15 Power Plant, Shunyata Alpha EF AC cable, Mac Mini running ROON.
