Difference in "new" 440 vs upgraded

Considering either upgrading my existing 400 to a 440 or just buying a used 440 that has been upgraded. What is the difference if any in a NEW 440 that was never upgraded and a 440 that was upgraded by Devialet via their upgrade program? Any differences that would make one better than the other?
