Stream using a newer iPhone or iPad model. Use Airplay 2, not Bluetooth. Use no other hardware in between. See if you hear a difference.

So I tried it again last night. And I did hear a difference this time. Not sure what I did differently. I used the AppleTV again. For the most part I was pleasantly surprised. There were some songs that I felt sounded harsher than their 2 channel versions.

Spatial audio on airpod max sound amazing on the new Apple TVos15. I really hope Devialet allows the option to switch on spatial audio so it can sound more theater-like than the headphones
