Gold pair --> Expert 400
#1
Totally happy with my pair of gold, especially after last firmware update with Roon readiness, but upgrade bug hits today... :-)

I have the chance to buy an Expert 400 (eventually upgrading to pro) with a pair of Manger P2 at a good price, although with a significant investment....anybody following a similar path in the past? regrets?
Target is to have more air/delicacy in the mid/high, but I'm afraid of what I'd loose in the bass.....

If you have some experience to share, please do it.

Went from Expert/B&W to a pair of Golds and never looked back. And never looking back. No way the Mangers can compete with Golds. I would only consider going from Gold to the new Phantom I 108 DB, or maybe from Gold to B&O BeoLab 90. But that’s about it.

With Roon and convolution you can achieve almost anything. I would try room correction before buying new speakers.
Living room: Kii Three/BXT with Control.

In the cupboard, waiting for a sibling: 1st gen. Phantom Silver running DOS1
