Here's a good idea.....
#1
My "serious" listening of vinyl is done using a 120, Raidho speakers and an Eames chair in a nice quiet room of the house.

Around the house I have a couple of Phantoms to keep the rest of the tribe happy but there are times when I would love to stream whats playing on my 120 from vinyl through to the phantoms, especially when guests are over or party in the garden.

I seen that google just brought out this streaming widget.....any chance Devialet can upgrade the software to do this, it would be very cool.

I've heard that there will be probably at the beginning of next year, a major software upgrade of Expert line, that would provide interoperability with Dialog and new capabilities, like managing multi-room with Spark Application of a mix of Expert Amp and phantom in differents rooms.

I'm not sure but it would be perhaps possible to stream thru Dialog Music from a source attached to an expert Amp, to Phantom Speakers in an other room .... Perhaps you could check with Devialet support if this kind of features is in their roadmap for next release ....

Would be great integration if they can do it, if Google can do it for $39.99 then can't be beyond the wit of man at Devialet Smile

I would imagine that they could do it, it is just a question of deciding that enough customers would like this feature, adding it to the work list and giving it a priority in the sequence of work.
As ever the sqeaky wheel gets the oil, so I suppose those who clamour most for software features to be added get the highest priority in the work list...

The reason Google can sell such a product for low prices is volume. A gadget that can easily be integrated into tens of millions of homes worldwide will have much more economy of scale in dividing development costs than a bt of expected-to-be-free software for a few thousand specialist customers, many of whom may not particularly want it, and with a negative profit guarantee...

if they are going to be selling both the expert and phantom range in their devialet stores it makes sense though.

if it helps them sell extra pairs of phantoms with an expert series amp it would be worth them developing the software

I had the same thought. I occasionally listen to a modded Sony XDR-F1HD FM radio through my 800 and was trying to figuring out how to stream it to my Phantoms. I remembered the Expert's vinyl-digitizing USB-out feature and so I tried plugging a USB cable between the 800 and the Dialog. Alas, no luck...

Dialog working with the expert line at the beginning of next year? Where did you hear this? This would be great news as I am waiting for a solution to my AIR issues. I thought the Dialog/Spark integration with the Expert line was way down their list of priorities......You may have just made my day Big Grin
