Hifi in salt air environment
#1
Hi all, I have a question:

I'll be moving into a house literally steps away from the beach. I've heard that the ocean salt air environment is corrosive to most types of metals and electronic equipment - the house is cooled mainly by the breeze/open windows and doors as there is no AC. Is there anything I can do maintenance-wise to prevent long-term damage to my Phantoms other than keeping them dust-free? They would be placed in the main living area where there are lots of doors and windows.

Also - does anyone know the specific details about Devialet Care and their replacement policy, particularly their "two accidental incidents" coverage? The website does not seem to include the Golds, which is what I will be upgrading to.

Thanks

Not much other than cover them when not in use to prevent sun damage. Other than that I wouldn't worry.
