How to distinguish a reactor 900 from a 600?
#11
The 900 has a bit more stopping power, so has a slightly crisper sound at a given volume, but most of us would find it difficult to hear the difference. You hear it more if you pair two of them in stereo mode, as it assists with the sound stage.

As a general rule, a more powerful amp can change the direction of a driver more abruptly. An amp pushes the driver forward, then pulls it backwards. This change in inertia takes energy - the available power isn’t just used to generate volume. The more capable an amp, the more crisp this transition.

If you haven’t needed volume before, it’s probably because you’re in a smaller room/space, so the 600 should be fine. Really fun speaker, looks like it’s going to explode when you crank it up!
