Loudness correction for Phantom
#1
Hi,
I will open discussion about loudness correction
If you want to obtain the best of your phantom at moderate volume, you have to put in place loudness correction.

This correction allows to compensate for lower sensitivity of the hearing when volume goes down (low and high frequency). Bass appears then as if you listen at louder level.
As Phantom is able to reproduce low frequency sound without distortion, You can enjoy deep bass something strong/heavy but not loud.

Using Linux, Jack audio and LV2 plugins, it's easy to put in place the  correction.

In my opinion, Devialet should include in the Phantom processing loudness correction, controlled by Spark (in order to be able to activate, tune or desactve.

Audissey is doing that with the "dynamic EQ" technology.

Is there anybody  experiment the major enhancement of loudness correction?
