I believe wired ethernet connection would be the way to go.
Living room: Kii Three/BXT with Control.

In my house the Phantom internal PLC works well in all rooms. No need for an extra cable and ethernet switches.

Most Stable way is to get rid of dialog and use direct mode. Optical can be transfered by cat5/6/7.
