Confused!
#1
Hi I have the Devialet app on my ipad, when I choose my music on the app the few albums I purchased from iTunes plays when selecting the my music input.
Where is the Devialet picking the music from as my PC is not switched on?
Confused as nothing else streams from a nas I also have as a back up to my innuos. Huh

You are streaming straight from the ipad. iTunes tracks must be stored on them.
Last time I checked it out, iTunes is only mp3, so that gives you subpar quality.
Win10/HQPlayer / Roon - Uptone Audio Etherregen switch / SOtM-SMS-200 ultra with clock input - Mutec REF 10 clock for the switch and the streamer - Denafrips GAIA DCC - Devialet D800 - YG Acoustics Carmel - Dual Elac SUB-2090
power supplies: Uptone JS-2, SOtM SPS-500

Thanks, I had thought about it streaming directly from ipad but it actually sounds very good, too good actually so I am very surprised at the sound.

That tells you how 'bad' mp3 is.  Tongue

No it doesn't, it sounds actually very good and not at all sounding like MP3, maybe testament to how good the Devialet makes it sound, well musical.

Mp3 gets a lot more bad publicity than it deserves. There are many 'CD quality' recordings that sound horrible and there are plenty of mp3's that sound quite good. It's all in the recording/mastering. I would say for SQ it's recording first, format second.
