I've just been informed by Devialet that as of this morning there is a new version of the configurator.
New functionalities:

- Ability to disable the remote control function
- Now possible to adjust the output delay on all outputs (this includes D-Premier models), useful for active setups and more precise positioning of speakers
- Now possible to chain up to 8 units!

Interesting! Thanks for broadcasting this, Guillaume.
No mention of bug fixes? Anyone brave enough to try it yet?

Judging by the number of responses and content of the various FW release threads, there are more than a few masochists among us....

Me? I'm a card carrying MA member (Masochists Anonymous), but I would like to try 8.1.3 official release again first.  I am currently running 8.1.3 beta and feel its the best of all official and beta releases since I bought my D400s with 7.1.1 release.

Why would you want to disable the remote control? Is this something to do with multi-device setups?

I'm curious too.
I thought a companion device doesn't come with a remote, but with an interlink cable...

Whatta joke! More horizontal enhancement! 8 units indeed... REALLY!?! Last I heard 2 is a struggle. As if! Personally I find it simpler, faster & easier to simply choose not use the remote than set up a configuration that prevents me from using it. I mean do they really believe I won't remember how to un-do it and use my remote again!?! Which begs the question if you disable it how on earth do you re-enable it without a remote!?! And if its from the remote then it never was really disabled at all was it ;-) I'm amazed when they find time to come up with this crap while year-long issues go unaddressed. Now go do something real... I mean its been a couple days doncha have another FW upgrade ready yet!?!

Has anyone tried disabling the remote yet to see if it sounds better?
